Details :- HF601 crashed in the sea south of Le Conquet near to where a memorial stands today.
     
     
Four of the crew are buried in Le Conquet Communal Cemetery.
     
W/C Owen was an officer on attachment from Group Headquarters.
W/C Owen was MID on 24/09/1941.
     
The others in the crew came from 196 squadron.
     

F/O Darbyshire is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.
