  Details:- HX312 was shot down by a night-fighter flown by Oblt Hans-Heinz Augenstein and crashed at De Lutte (Overijssel) a village on the Dutch - German border, 4km East South East from Oldenzaal.  
     
  648 aircraft detailed for the mission with 35 Halifax aircraft being lost.  
             
             
             
  Those of the crew who died are buried in Losser (De Lutte) Roman Catholic Cemetery.  
             
  F/S Dobson - PoW number 1054, he was in camps L6/L4.      
  F/S Doust - PoW number 966, he was in camps L6/L4.
