Details :- Shot down by Hptm Heinz Rokker near Julich on the outskirts of Cologne on the return from Bochum at approx 20:00.
  P/O Dodgson was badly injured with 2 broken wrists and a fractured neck, his injuries were only crudely set before he was dispatched to a PoW camp.
3 of the crew also parachuted from the aircraft but are alleged to have been shot once they landed.
 
Those of the crew who died are buried in Rheinberg War Cemetery.
 
P/O Dodgson - PoW number is 13034 in camp Stalag Bonn-Duisdorf.
